How It Works

Getting started is easy — and you can begin making an impact right away.

In just four simple steps, you’ll go from signing up to actively helping surgical teams around the world access life-saving training. No special skills required — just your passion and willingness to share SURGhub in your networks.

1. Apply

Fill out the short form on this page with your details and motivation.

You need to sign into your SURGhub account to see the form and apply.

2. Acceptance

After a review of your application by our team, you’ll be accepted into the programme if you meet the criteria.

3. Orientation

Once accepted, you’ll get access to our short 20 minutes Ambassador Orientation Course, which includes your welcome pack, programme terms, and first action steps.

4. Activation

After completing the course, you’ll receive your personal referral link and toolkit — ready to start making an impact.

Who can join the programme?

The SURGhub Ambassadors Programme is primarily open to young people in the broader medical and health fields worldwide who are passionate about expanding access to surgical education.

You can apply if you fit any of the below categories:
  • A medical student, nursing student, or surgical trainee
  • An early-career professional working in education or healthcare
  • A motivated changemaker with an interest in global health and digital learning

What is the SURGhub Ambassador Programme?

The SURGhub Ambassador Programme is a global network of volunteers who help spread the word about SURGhub, an award-winning surgical education platform. Ambassadors inspire others to join, share learning opportunities, and contribute to our mission of reaching 100,000 healthcare workers worldwide.

Who can apply to become an Ambassador?

Anyone passionate about improving access to surgical education can apply. You don’t need to be a surgeon or healthcare professional — just motivated to support the mission.

How do I apply?

You’ll need a free SURGhub account (takes less than 30 seconds to set up). Once logged in, fill out the short application form on our website. Our team will review your application and contact you if accepted.

Is there a cost to join?

No — joining the Ambassador Programme is completely free.

What will I do as an Ambassador?

You’ll help promote SURGhub by sharing your unique referral link, inviting colleagues and friends to join, and participating in community activities. You’ll also have access to resources and tips to make your outreach easy and effective.

What do I get as an Ambassador?

Ambassadors can:
 • Track their personal impact on their dashboard.
 • Receive a Certificate of Contribution.
 • Get exclusive invitations to opportunities.
 • Have the chance to be featured in our newsletter or on social media.

How do I track my impact?

When you join, you’ll receive your own personal Ambassador link. Every time someone signs up for a free SURGhub account through your link, it will be counted in your Impact Dashboard — even if they return and sign up later (up to 30 days after first clicking your link).

How much time will I need to commit?

There’s no fixed time requirement. You can contribute as much or as little as your schedule allows.

Can I be an Ambassador if I’m already part of another organisation?

Yes — as long as your Ambassador activities align with SURGhub’s mission and values, you’re welcome to join.

Why 100,000?

Our goal of reaching 100,000 healthcare workers by the end of 2026 is ambitious but realistic. We chose this number because:

Scale matters – training at this level will create a true global ripple effect, strengthening surgical teams across hundreds of hospitals and clinics.

Feasible growth – with over 20,000 learners already on SURGhub in under two years, we know that scaling to 100,000 is within reach, yet ambitious.

Patient impact – each healthcare worker trained can directly or indirectly serve thousands of patients over their career. Reaching 100,000 healthcare workers means a large number of patients will ultimately benefit from safer surgical care.
