The Association of Rural Surgeons of India is a group of dedicated surgeons working in rural and remote areas of India. 


The annual conferences of the Association attracted participants from many African countries and hence a decade ago the International Federation of Rural Surgeons was formed to collaborate with the Association of Rural Surgeons of India and international conferences were help once in two years. During the Covid Pandemic rural surgical education channels and rural surgery webinars were started by IFRS. IFRS is committed to providing rural bases surgical education.
