What is new

From today, anyone can check online that a SURGhub UN certificate of completion is genuine.

Hospitals, training programmes, and employers often ask health workers for proof of the courses they have completed. The new certificate verification page lets them check a SURGhub certificate in a few seconds, without having to contact us.

How it works

1. Ask the learner for their certificate ID. Learners can copy it from their certificate on SURGhub.
2. Go to surghub.org/certificate-verification and enter the ID.
3. Select "Verify certificate".

What the check shows

The page shows the learner's name, the course, the date the certificate was issued, the expiry date where there is one, and whether the certificate is valid. You can copy a link to the result or download a copy of the certificate.

About SURGhub certificates

SURGhub's UN certificates of completion are issued with UNITAR and the course's content provider. They show that a learner completed a course. They are not a qualification or a licence to practise, and they are not proof of clinical competence.
