Lip & Cheek Reconstruction

Dr. Arun Gosain is a paediatric plastic surgeon specialising in craniofacial anomalies, vascular anomalies, congenital nevi, and cleft lip and palate repair. He heads the Craniofacial Developmental Biology Laboratory at Lurie Children's Research Center, supported by The Plastic Surgery Foundation and the National Institutes of Health, with a focus on training residents in paediatric and craniofacial research. He actively provides surgical care to children with cleft lip and palate in underserved areas of India. Dr. Gosain has held leadership positions in ASPS, the American Board of Plastic Surgery, the American Society of Maxillofacial Surgeons, and the American College of Surgeons, and has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals. In 2017, he was named the Children's Service Board Professor of Pediatric Plastic Surgery at Lurie Children's Hospital, the first endowed chair in Illinois dedicated to paediatric plastic surgery.
